How I can help

Every piece of this work starts the same way: a conversation. Sessions are available in person at various locations across Melbourne, including St Kilda, with the option of after-hours appointments, and online across Australia.

Counselling

Counselling with me is a compassionate, unhurried space to unpack what's going on. For some people that's the struggles of daily life: relationships, communication, stress, or finding balance and connection to self. For others it's deeper work with trauma, alcohol and other drugs, or other addictions. And for parents, it's often the role changes, conflict and life-stage shifts that arrive without a manual.

Drawing on Motivational Interviewing and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, we work side by side: exploring what you need, connecting with your values, and building change from your own motivations, because that's the kind that lasts.

Professional Supervision

People in wellbeing work give a great deal. Many are supporting extremely vulnerable members of the community, and are so committed that their own balance slips out of view. Supervision is a confidential, independent space outside your line management, for critical reflection, debriefing, and honest conversation about the work and its weight.

I provide external professional supervision to social workers, mental health clinicians, registered nurses, educators and other practitioners in wellbeing and therapeutic work, across aged care, asylum seeker support, emergency services, law enforcement, universities, NGOs, the NDIS, private practice and mental health. I've supervised staff, graduates and students since 2009, and I teach counselling skills to Master of Social Work students at the University of Melbourne. Whether you're meeting professional development requirements or simply need a space that's yours, supervision is where good practice and good practitioners stay well.

If sitting across a desk isn't your thing, walking or moving sessions are available too, outdoors alongside the conversation. Many supervisees find it supports their own self-care as much as the session itself.

Behaviour Change & AOD Support

Changing a habit starts with understanding it. In one-on-one behaviour change work we explore your relationship with alcohol or other drugs and your own motivations for change, without judgement, and at your pace.

This is ground I know deeply. As a VicRoads-credentialed Behaviour Change Facilitator with years of hands-on experience in alcohol-and-other-drugs outreach, I bring a harm-reduction, no-judgement approach to this work, whether you're exploring your own relationship with substances or navigating the aftermath of a drink- or drug-driving matter.

Workplace Training & Group Work

Teams in demanding work need what individuals need: space to reflect, tools to manage stress, and better ways to communicate. I design and deliver group sessions for workplaces and community groups: reflective practice, communication skills, self-awareness, stress management, and mindfulness and breath-based techniques, shaped around a topic the group chooses. I've delivered this work for graduate students and staff in a teaching-hospital setting, and in community settings.
